How To Live In This Insane World Sanely?

Watch this video before you start reading.

“If you say getting the money is the most important thing, you will spent your life completely wasting your time”

Our whole world revolves around money. Our decisions, from what to wear and what eat to where to go and what to do depends on money. This is the structure of our society and the educational system is one of the main reasons this is happening. It tells us what to think and how to live. Our thoughts become mechanical so does our life.Be born,go to school, get high grades, graduate, get a job, make money, marry someone, have kids and force them to have the same life as you had…

“Get a job”.The main criterion to choose a job is money, not what you like, what you desire but money. There are everywhere sad people having to  waste  8 hours everyday doings things they don’t like to do,cooperating with people they don’t like to see.Think about it,24 hours per day, lets say you sleep 8 hours, from the 16 hours that you are awake the 8 of them you work. That’s what the world demands you to do,not to be yourself, not to do things you want to do but follow a career(which is a 20th century invention) and waste your life.

But why people follow this patter of life?Well, most of them don’t even think about it,they just run along with the rest. But what about the others? Then ones that have thought about it?Why they decide to follow this lifestyle?Fear is the answer. It’s a fight within themselves. They feel they have to follow the others but they don’t want to and yet they do because they believe that this lifestyle provides them security. Instead, hopefully they will understand that they are not secure because they are always depended, whether on society or their boss, because they need money and when you depend on somebody fear always exists. This way of living provides them also anxiety, anger, frustration and alienation from their own selves.

But if you don’t follow the crowd the whole world is against. You won’t have money, you won’t have a job,you will starve, you may be envious not to be like someone else. You will be alone and you have to stand alone. Can you? It’s very dangerous unless you have the intelligence to withstand the world. You have to find out how to live in this world of mindless slaves and sleeping revolutionists,a world of conformity and comparison, how to live in this insane world sanely.

Celebrity Worship

November 3, 2012 5 comments

A conversation I had on Facebook with Katrina.

Katrina- (…)but what’s not cool is me not getting to see Z** E**** while he’s in my country .

Me- That message gave me cancer.

Katrina- Don’t tell me you hate Z** E****,please don’t.

Me- I dont hate anyone,I just can’t understand why people worship celebrities.

Katrina- I dont worship him, I think I’m actually in love with him.

Me- That message gave me a second cancer.

She’s a blogger too,you can read her blog here.

So,let’s get started…

It doesn’t take much effort to realize that a huge amount of people, especially teenage girls, worship celebrities, especially “handsome” actors and singers. They treat them like gods, super-humans, when they’re still just normal people like you and me. They copy their behavior and appearance, they shut their minds off and agrees with everything their idols say, even the simpler phrases sounds like deep and meaningful quotes. They have been blinded by the fake image media have created for certain people.

I’ve never worshiped anything or anyone, let alone someone just because of his looks. That would be the most stupid and insulting thing to myself I would ever done. But I see people everywhere talking for their experience of meeting someone famous in a way that you think that they achieved the ultimate goal of their life and the problem is this is what they think, they truly believe that it’s “the best/one of the best moments of their life”. Seeing those people running, trying to touch a celebrity while crying because of their…I don’t know…”something”,is one of the most tragic things I have ever seen.

And all the above are mainly for the celebrities of today. Because in the past being a famous meant that you had accomplished something scientific, political, cultural, ideological etc.Today you don’t have to accomplish anything, media do all the work for you.All this western culture influence have created a new social disorder, Celebritism, people are trying to be the centre of attention using social media or any other tool they can to become famous. All this influence that these idols have on their fans is one more massive social controlling tool. One way to find out if you’re a victim of social control is to see if what you do,wear, watch, listen even think is what the majority of the people do,if it is,then you are following the crowd and you are just another sheep in this mindless herd. You have no personal style, you are just a copy.

Our choices are a near perfect mirror of our personality. If we waste our life worshiping a pack of garbage then we aren’t much different from it,but instead of that we can go to another direction, where we don’t worship, where we don’t follow anyone and we are our own light in this dark human world.

Who Am I?

First of all,I’m nobody. I don’t have any country,any label,any philosophy,any God,any religion,I’m not the center of the world,I’m just a simple human being.

That’s not some kind of “emo answer” but it’s one of the most honest answers one can give. People, including me sometimes, need to feel like they are somebody, somebody special, they need to feel like the world revolves around them because that makes them feel good, makes them feel unique. But when you look at the whole picture, not just one little part of it, and you realize that you don’t see the world as it is but as you are,you will understand that it’s not the world that revolves around you but it’s you who revolves around the world. You are the story you live in,you are the story of mankind.

You can’t completely answer this question, even though people think they do, but they can’t understand that every second, every moment that passes we change.I’m not the same person as I was when I started writing this post.

The Moth

September 12, 2012 Leave a comment

What do you suppose is growing in the cocoon?
A butterfly? No,it’s much more beautiful than that.
It’s a moth. It’s ironic. Butterflies get all the attention. But moths, they spin silk. They’re stronger, faster..
There’s a little hole. This moth’s just about to emerge. It’s in there right now, struggling. It’s digging its way through the thick hide of the cocoon. Now, I could help it. Take a knife, gently widen the opening, and the moth would be free.
But it would be too weak to survive. The struggle is nature’s way of strengthening it.

Are We Living Or Just Surviving?

September 12, 2012 3 comments

What are you waiting for?

“You know what your problem is?”

“I’m starving and no one will feed me.”

“No, you are waiting to be fed.”

Look at the fish in the picture above. He eats,he sleeps,he’s safe.He lives a comfortable life. But he is already dead. Living means experiencing new things but for him everyday is going to be the same until the day of his death.

Living like ghosts in a cage we call shelter. Trapped in the daily routine, trapped in our thoughts, trapped in our fears, trapped within the limits we set ourselves. Living the life everyone else has. Having the dreams everyone else has? Being born original by dying as a copy of society’s standards.

“It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society.”- Jiddu Krishnamurti

Is this what life is supposed to be?Are we living?Or we are just surviving?

Don’t we get bored in this dark room we live in?Why don’t we take the risk to open the door,we don’t know what’s behind it,but by opening it we will discover a new world. Even if that world is worse than the dark room it will be a challenge for us to discover our strength and weakness.

Why don’t we set goals, build courage and braveness, find our true passion and live the life we have always dreamed of?Why don’t we make changes, not any kind of changes, some say “WE MAKE CHANGES” yes you do but what kind of changes? Are those changes moves us forward?Or they move us backwards? Why don’t we create our own paths instead of walking paths created by others?

“make a radical change in your lifestyle and begin to boldly do things which you may previously never have thought of doing, or been too hesitant to attempt. So many people live within unhappy circumstances and yet will not take the initiative to change their situation because they are conditioned to a life of security, conformity, and conservation, all of which may appear to give one peace of mind, but in reality nothing is more damaging to the adventurous spirit within a man than a secure future. The very basic core of a man’s living spirit is his passion for adventure. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun. If you want to get more out of life, you must lose your inclination for monotonous security and adopt a helter-skelter style of life that will at first appear to you to be crazy. But once you become accustomed to such a life you will see its full meaning and its incredible beauty.”

New Year….So What?

January 5, 2012 3 comments

We humans tend to give meaning to all sort of things, like situations and events,to use them as an opportunity to make ourselves “better”. Just like the way we behave when a New Year comes,we make plans, wishes,as if it is a life-changing event. If we don’t leave our superstitions behind and don’t try to change our life ourselves don’t expect changes.

The new year came… goes on just like it did last year.Nothing has changed at all.

Not a single thing…
